Decades of stressors, including the loss of habitat, the improper use of pesticides and herbicides, and the spread of diseases, have all hurt the pollinating population. Pollination is vital for a strong, healthy ecosystem. It also provides us with food, medicines, dyes, spices, and so much more.

There are over 200,000 species of pollinators! These include bees, wasps, flies, beetles, butterflies, moths, and birds. Attract these helpers by creating a beautiful pollination garden with native plants. If you don’t have space for a garden, large potted plants work great too. Pictured are some good local options.
